Football

In football our teams of Chicureo experienced two matchdays of the Copa Soprole UC.

The Mini category had a great run by obtaining two much needed victories. First, they defeated Colegio de la Salle 2-0 and later they showed a great performance to beat San Pedro Nolasco by a 5-0 score, reaching 2nd place in their group with five matches played.

In the same order of opponents but in their category, our boys from Infant tied their first match 2-2, but on the following day they showed all their experience to defeat 2-0 San Pedro Nolasco, maintaining themselves at the top of the table in their group at the end of the 5th matchday.

For our campus Lo Barnechea, the infant category offered a great display by beating Scoula Italiana 5-0 and achieving their second consecutive triumph in the Copa Soprole UC. However, in the following game they could not extend their winning streak due to a 1-1 draw with the English Institute, placing them 2nd in their group.

For the same tournament our Lincoln girls – with students from 5th to 8th grade of both campuses- pulled off a good performance to defeat Boston College La Farfana by a 3-1 score.

Finally, we would like to distinguish our parents’ football team for winning the Father’s Cup that took place in Dunalastair school, achieving the 4th title of this year so far.

Congratulations!

Volleyball

Our Barnechea campus volleyball team faced the British Royal High School in a new matchday of the Liga Metropolitana de Vóleibol Escolar. Even though they put great effort, the Under-16 squad couldnt obtain the victory, although in this match our Fernanda Gajardo was chosen as Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Team Lincoln did manage to secure a solid 2-0 win in the Under-18 category, in which Julia Posner had an excellent performance that earned her the MVP of the match. Also, in the following matchday (4th) they beat María Inmaculada School, extending their winning streak.

A bittersweet day was the one lived for our girls from Chicureo in volleyball. Despite showing great effort and giving a good performance, our U-16 and U-18 teams couldn’t defeat Thomas Morus in the Honor Division of the Liga Metropolitana. Nevertheless, in their match against the same school, our Under-14 category obtained a very important victory.
